Here’s a running list of the movement on the FC Dallas roster as we head into the 2026 season.

Dec. 9, 2025: FC Dallas Acquires CF Montréal’s No. 3 Overall Pick in 2026 MLS SuperDraft via Trade – FC Dallas acquired CF Montréal’s third overall pick in the first round of the 2026 MLS SuperDraft, as well as Toronto FC’s natural third-round pick (66 overall) that Montréal obtained in July 2025. In exchange, Dallas sent $350,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM), $175,000 in 2026 GAM, $175,000 in 2027 GAM and its second-round pick (46 overall) in the 2026 MLS SuperDraft.

With the trade, FC Dallas now holds three first-round picks and one third-round pick in the 2026 MLS SuperDraft, which takes place Thursday, Dec. 18.

Dec. 15, 2025: FC Dallas Signs Midfielder Ran Binyamin – FC Dallas has acquired midfielder Ran Binyamin via transfer from Hapoel Tel Aviv F.C. He has signed a U22 Initiative contract through the 2028-29 Major League Soccer season with club options for the 2029-30 and 2030-31 seasons. Binyamin will occupy an international roster slot, pending receipt of his P-1 visa and International Transfer Certificate.

Binyamin joins FC Dallas after spending the last three years with Hapoel where he made 85 appearances across all competitions. He made his professional debut on Aug. 20, 2022. 

Dec. 15, 2025: FC Dallas Acquires Red Bull New York’s No. 12 Overall Pick in 2026 MLS SuperDraft via Trade – FC Dallas acquired Red Bull New York’s No. 12 pick in the first round of the 2026 MLS SuperDraft. In exchange, Dallas sent $100,000 in General Allocation Money ($50,000 in 2026 GAM, $50,000 in 2027 GAM) and the club’s 2026 SuperDraft 21st overall pick. 

FC Dallas holds three first-round picks (No. 3, 12, and 16) and one third-round pick (No. 66 overall) in the SuperDraft, which takes place Thursday, Dec. 18.

Dec. 18, 2025: FC Dallas Selects Six Players in 2026 MLS SuperDraft – FC Dallas selected six collegiate players in the 2026 MLS SuperDraft. The club chose Generation adidas forward Ricardo “Ricky” Louis with the No. 2 overall pick, Generation adidas forward Nicholas “Nick” Simmonds with the No. 3 pick, and goalkeeper Niklas Herceg with the No. 16 pick. Dallas added Edouard Nys and Umberto Pelà in the second round and drafted defender Olayinka “Ola” Ogunleye in the third round.

Dec. 29, 2025: FC Dallas Signs Swedish International Herman Johansson – FC Dallas has acquired Swedish international Herman Johansson via transfer from Mjällby AIF (MAIF). He signed a contract through 2028-29 with a club option for 2029-2030. Johansson will occupy an international roster slot, pending receipt of his P-1 visa and International Transfer Certificate.

Jan. 2, 2026: FC Dallas Transfers Goalkeeper Maarten Paes – FC Dallas transferred goalkeeper Maarten Paes to Dutch side AFC Ajax of the Eredivisie. Paes departs Dallas after starting 114 matches, tied with Matt Jordan for the most starts by a goalkeeper in franchise history.

Jan. 2, 2026: FC Dallas Acquires Goalkeeper Jonathan Sirois – FC Dallas has acquired Canadian goalkeeper Jonathan Sirois from CF Montréal in exchange for up to $350,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM). The deal includes $75,000 in 2026 GAM, $75,000 in 2027 GAM and up to $200,000 in conditional GAM if performance metrics are met. A Montréal Homegrown, Sirois will not occupy an international slot on the 2026 roster.

Jan. 5, 2026: FC Dallas Signs Jaidyn Contreras, Kaka Scabin, Slade Starnes and Caleb Swann to Homegrown Deals – FC Dallas announced the signings of FC Dallas Academy alums Jaidyn Contreras, Kaka Scabin, Slade Starnes and Caleb Swann to Homegrown contracts. With these additions, Dallas extends its league-leading total to 48 Homegrown signings.

Jan. 13, 2026: FC Dallas Acquires Attacking Midfielder Joaquín Valiente – FC Dallas has signed Joaquín Valiente from Uruguayan side Defensor Sporting Club. Valiente signed through the 2027-2028 season with club options for the 2028-2029 and 2029-2030 seasons. He will occupy an international roster slot pending receipt of his P-1 visa and International Transfer Certificate.

Jan. 15, 2026: FC Dallas Signs Homegrown Nolan Norris to Contract Extension – FC Dallas announced today that the club has signed Homegrown defender Nolan Norris to a contract extension through the 2028-29 MLS season with a club option for the 2029-30 season.

Jan. 22, 2026: FC Dallas Loans Midfielder Enes Sali – FC Dallas has loaned midfielder Enes Sali to Al-Riyadh SC of the Saudi Pro League through June 2026, pending the receipt of Sali’s International Transfer Certificate. Sali will not occupy a U22 Initiative Player roster spot while on loan. 

Feb. 16, 2026: FC Dallas Acquires Goalkeeper Brooks Thompson on Loan – FC Dallas has acquired goalkeeper Brooks Thompson on loan from USL Championship side Lexington SC through June 2026 with a club option for a permanent transfer.

Feb. 18, 2026: FC Dallas Loans Homegrown Malachi Molina – FC Dallas has loaned Homegrown defender Malachi Molina to MLS Eastern Conference side Nashville SC for the 2026 MLS regular season with an option to buy. Dallas acquired Nashville SC’s 2028 MLS SuperDraft Second Round Pick and will send its 2028 MLS SuperDraft Third Round Pick as part of the deal.

Feb. 19, 2026: FC Dallas Exercises Contract Buyout on Homegrown Paxton Pomykal – FC Dallas announced today that the club has exercised a buyout on the guaranteed contract of Homegrown midfielder Paxton Pomykal. With the move, Pomykal will no longer occupy a Senior roster spot.
