FC DALLAS KICKS OFF 2023 MLS REGULAR SEASON SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 25 AGAINST MINNESOTA UNITED FC
It’s time to block your calendar for all the FC Dallas action coming up as soon as February 2023! Personally, I’m stocked about this schedule and it can’t get here soon enough. Check out the info on what to expect month by month for FCD.

2023 Schedule Highlights:
- The 2023 Texas Derby begins when FC Dallas hosts Houston Dynamo FC on Saturday, May 20
- Dallas plays Austin FC three times
- FCD faces expansion St. Louis CITY SC for the first time on Saturday, May 6
- Defending champion LAFC visits Toyota Stadium on Saturday, July 1
- All matches are available on Apple TV’s MLS Season Pass

FC Dallas opens the 2023 MLS regular season on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 7:30PM CT at Toyota Stadium against Minnesota United FC in a rematch of a thrilling October 17, 2022 playoff match that saw Dallas beat the Loons in a PK shootout in the first round of the MLS Cup playoffs in Frisco. FC Dallas announced the team’s 2023 schedule today in conjunction with the league-wide schedule release. All of FC Dallas’ regular season matches are available on MLS Season Pass, the new streaming service on Apple TV which launches February 1, 2023.
March 2023
Following the February opener, which is the earliest Dallas has ever opened the MLS regular season, the club plays four games the following month beginning with a March 4 matchup against the LA Galaxy. Dallas’ first road trip of the 2023 season is north of the border against the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday, March 11. Dallas closes the month at home at Sporting Kansas City on March 18.
April 2023
Dallas plays five matches in April starting with an April Fool’s match against the Portland Timbers. Dallas faces Inter Miami CF on the road on April 8 before coming home to host Real Salt Lake on April 15. Dallas closes April with two road contests at New York City FC (April 22) and at Minnesota (April 30) in a match that can be seen on FS1 and Fox Deportes in addition to MLS Season Pass.
May 2023
FC Dallas plays a season-high six league matches in May, starting with its first-ever meeting against St. Louis CITY SC on Sunday, May 6. Dallas visits Austin FC on Saturday, May 13 in a Rivalry Week matchup followed by the club’s first mid-week match against the Vancouver Whitecaps on Wednesday, May 17. FCD hosts the Houston Dynamo on Saturday, May 20 in another Rivalry Week match before finishing May on the road against San Jose (May 27) and at Kansas City on Wednesday, May 31.
June 2023
Dallas plays just one home match in June on Saturday, June 3 against Nashville SC followed by a road trip to face Portland on Sunday, June 11 on FS1, Fox Deportes and MLS Season Pass. Dallas wraps the month on June 21 in Austin before enjoying a bye the weekend of June 24.
July 2023
FC Dallas has a busy start to July with a home matchup on the first against LAFC followed by a Tuesday, July 4 meeting against D.C. United at Toyota Stadium. The next two July league matches are on the road against the Colorado Rapids on July 8 and at Seattle on July 15.
Leagues Cup 2023
A new era begins in North American soccer in July as all 47 MLS and Liga MX clubs will compete in a completely reimagined Leagues Cup: an annual, month-long, Concacaf-sanctioned tournament. FC Dallas will pause MLS play from July 21 to August 19.
August 2023
MLS competition resumes for Dallas on August 20 at Philadelphia. FCD’s only home match of the month is August 26 against Austin FC followed by a midweek trip to St. Louis CITY SC on Wednesday, August 30.
September 2023
FC Dallas opens September with two home games beginning on September 2 against Atlanta United FC followed by a September 16 match against the Seattle Sounders. Dallas visits Real Salt Lake on September 20 before returning to North Texas to host the Columbus Crew on September 23. The last Texas Derby meeting of the season is September 30 in Houston.
October 2023
The final month of the season has Dallas playing three matches beginning with an October 4 meeting against the Colorado Rapids followed by an October 7 matchup against San Jose as former head coach Luchi Gonzalez returns to Toyota Stadium for the first time since taking over head coaching duties for the Earthquakes. Dallas closes the 2023 regular season in Carson, CA against the LA Galaxy on Saturday, October 21, marking the first Decision Day match FCD will play on the road since 2021 when it finished the regular season in San Jose.
2023 Schedule Notes
- MLS will pause during the October and November FIFA international windows.
- Dallas has 24 matches on Saturday in 2023 with 14 of those at Toyota Stadium. FCD will play six matches on Wednesday, three on Sunday and one on Tuesday.
- With the addition of St. Louis CITY SC to the Western Conference, there are now 29 MLS teams with Nashville SC will rejoin the Eastern Conference bringing the total of Eastern Conference teams to 15 and Western Conference teams to 14.
- The 2023 MLS All-Star Game presented by Target is scheduled for Wednesday, July 19 and will be free to watch exclusively on MLS Season Pass. The opponent for the MLS event will be announced later.
