The Texas Legends have announced the 50-game schedule for the 2022-23 season.  The franchise’s 12th season opens with the team on the road for a back-to-back in Austin.  The Legends then host the Birmingham Squadron in their home opener Saturday, Nov. 12th.  The season wraps up with a West-coast road trip playing in Ontario (Clippers) and Santa Cruz (Warriors) March 23rd and 25th.

The Legends will once again play 24 games at home, 24 on the road, and 2 neutral site games at the G League Showcase.  The two-part schedule returns with teams playing 18 games for the Showcase Cup followed by the 32-game regular season.  Teams will play 16 games (8 home, away) in the Showcase Cup to determine qualification for the single-elimination tournament at the annual Winter Showcase.

Following Showcase, team records will reset for the traditional regular season.  Teams are split into Eastern and Western conferences and will fight for playoff contention based on the regular season record.

The G League consists of 30 teams broken into two conferences.  The Mexico City Capitanes will play their first regular season at home and will be part of the Western Conference.  The conference alignment is as follows:

 Eastern Conference

Capital City, College Park, Cleveland, Delaware, Fort Wayne, Grand Rapids, Greensboro, Lakeland, Long Island, Maine, Motor City, Raptors 905, Westchester, Windy City, Wisconsin

Western Conference

Austin, Birmingham, Iowa, G League Ignite, Memphis, Mexico City, Oklahoma City, Ontario, Rio Grande Valley, Salt Lake City, Santa Cruz, Sioux Falls, South Bay, Stockton, Texas

The Legends play a total of nine games against five different Eastern Conference opponents.  The full schedule breakdown is below.

March – 5 home, 7 away

The Legends’ longest home stretch is five games which takes place November 18th – 26th and January 7th – 21st.  The team plays 13 back-to-back series – eight at home and five on the road.
